N OWADAYS when you designate a female
student as a "Campus Coed" of the
University of Baltimore, you are not describing
her in a general sense, but rather qualifying
her as a member of an organization formerly
known as the Women's League. This organization,
which supplements the Informal Lounge
Dance schedule with two dances per season has
established a reputation for carrying out successful
social affairs with the greatest of grace
and ease. The two outstanding dances which
marked the calendar of this year were the
Alumni Dance and the Sweethearts Dance, with
the "Campus Coeds" active as the charming
hostesses and rendering the services conducive
to a delightful evening.

An informal pose of the alumnae and the sophomores, members
of the Medical Secretarial Association
O VER two centuries ago, Jean Jacques
Rousseau made the statement, "Medicine is all
the fashion in these days, and very naturally
so." Fortunately, this quotation still applies,
for it supplies the foundation of one of the
most active women's groups on the campus,
the Medical Secretarial Association.
Throughout the past year, this organization
which is comprised of sophomores of the
Medical Secretarial Course and its alumnae,
have combined work and pleasure. Between
working days at Johns Hopkins and courses at
"01' U. of B., " this association found time to
present social functions that proved to be the
envy of many larger campus groups.
During this year the secretaries have sponsored
several delightful dinners, a fashion show,
and featured an address by a woman renowned
in the professional field .
