will be discussed. There
will be no new policy
review for the month of
December.
In old business, there
will be a second reading
on Policies 4.301, 4.302,
and 4.605. These policies
deal with changes
which were suggested
for Interscholastic
Sports, Field Trips
and Excursions,
and Graduation
Requirements.
During the November
meeting, Wayne County
Director of Schools
Gailand Grinder
recommended clarifying
the number of credits for
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM DECEMBER 17
Fairview Free Will Baptist Church will have its Christmas
Program on Saturday, December 17 at 7 P.M. Everyone is
invited to attend.
participation in athletics
based on TSSAA
guidelines, clarifying the
number of high school
credits needed to stay
on track for graduation
each year, and changing
the requirement for
approval of overnight
trips to colleges from two
readings to one.
Grinder stated that
requiring two readings
for approval for a college
campus visit was not
practical due to the short
notice given by colleges
when scheduling visits.
The fi rst reading passed
so the board will conduct
a second and fi nal reading
on these policy reviews.
