department. He also

Wayne County Sheriff
Ric Wilson provided an
update for his department
as well. Sheriff Wilson
addressed the commission
with his department’s
monthly report. He also
requested a policy change
regarding employee
usage of Facebook and
other internet social
networking web sites.
Next on the agenda,
there were three
individuals up for reappointment
to E-911
board. Commissioner Jim
Kelley made the motion
to re-appoint Melba
Staggs, Amanda Wilson,
and Mike Smith as board
members. Commissioner
Brian Harris gave the
second. Motion passed.
The three will be serving
another four year term.
Commissioner O.C.
Berry made a motion
to approve a surplus
property list prepared
by Robert Farris. The
second was given by
Commissioner Warren
Miller. After a roll call
vote all 14 members of
the commission voted
yes.
Commissioner Rickey
Kelley questioned the
commission on the
process of the sale of the
old jail. It was agreed that
it should be completed by
the January meeting.
