When ignorance and confusion prevail regarding the optimistic hope of Scripture, we witness a consequent ebbing of the power and vitality from the Christian faith itself. I am convinced that the rise and acceptance of dispensationalism in the nineteenth century is related to the decline of Christian influence in American society in the twentieth. My heartfelt desire is to encourage Christians to adopt the optimistic biblical eschatology known as postmillennialism.
