Star-bound Cedar Wreath<br />
3 to 5 ft gold or silver bead garland<br />
3 4-inch dia. wooden stars with pre-drilled holes for hanging<br />
desired size cedar wreath<br />
white acrylic paint<br />
24 gold or silver chenille stems<br />
DIRECTIONS:<br />
1. Loop bead garland loosely<br />
through center and around the<br />
bottom <strong>of</strong> the wreath several<br />
times; set aside.<br />
2. Paint stars white; set aside to dry.<br />
3. Attach stars to the lower left-hand side <strong>of</strong> the wreath, spacing<br />
each several inches apart. Make 3 fanned-out bundles <strong>of</strong><br />
8 chenille stems apiece; wire one bundle behind each star,<br />
making a starry trail for each star.<br />
4. Hang up wreath and enjoy!<br />

Bruschetta<br />
Arrange rounds on a holiday platter and tuck in a sprig or 2<br />
<strong>of</strong> mint leaves or rosemary for added holiday color.<br />
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 1/3 cup red onion, minced<br />
2 to 6 cloves garlic, pressed 1 tsp balsamic vinegar<br />
salt and pepper to taste 1/8 tsp Italian seasoning<br />
4 to 5 leaves fresh basil, minced<br />
1/4 cup fresh Italian parsley, minced<br />
2 to 3 cups plum tomatoes, diced<br />
1 baguette or loaf Italian bread, sliced and toasted<br />
DIRECTIONS:<br />
1. Combine all ingredients except bread in a large bowl;<br />
refrigerate overnight to develop flavor.<br />
2. Serve at room temperature, spread on toasted rounds <strong>of</strong> bread.<br />
