I STATEMENT No. 4<br />
Summary of business transacted by the <strong>Goa</strong>, Darnan and Diu <strong>Legislative</strong> <strong>Assembly</strong><br />
day to day during the Second Session, 1980<br />
Tuesday, +he 25th March, 1980<br />
I. The Administrator Colonel Partap Singh Gill delivered his address.<br />
/'<br />
11. The Secretary laid on the table of the House a copy of the Administrator's<br />
Address.<br />
111. The Chief Minister laid the following papers on the table of the House: -<br />
(i) The Annual Report of the Economic Development Corporation of <strong>Goa</strong>,<br />
Daman and Diu Ltd., for the year 1978-79.<br />
(ii) The Accounts and Audit Reports of the <strong>Goa</strong>, Daman and Diu Industrial<br />
Development Corporation for the year 1977-78.<br />
IV. Shri He~culano Dourado moved the following motions for condolence: -<br />
(i) "This House pays its homage to the Lok Nayak, the valiant freedom<br />
fighter, social reformer, great thinker and crusader for the uplift of the down-<br />
trodden. In J. P's death our country has lost a great humanist. His contribution<br />
in the nation building and his dedicated lie will continue to inspire younger<br />
generation to contribute their might in the task of building this nation."<br />
The motion proposed. Four members took part in the debate.<br />
Motion was put to vote and passed unanimously. The Members stood in silence<br />
for two minutes as a mark of respect to the departed soul.<br />
(a) "This House condoles the death- of Shri Telo Mascarenhas, a great<br />
freedom fighter and a distinguished son of <strong>Goa</strong>."<br />
The motion proposed. Three members took part in the debate. The motion was<br />
put to vote and carried. The members stood in silence for one minute as a mark of<br />
respect to the departed soul.<br />
V. Shri Herculano Dourado moved the following motions for congratulation: -<br />
(i) "This House congratulates Mrs. Indira Gandhi for wining the Parliamentary<br />
elections with such a majority and on he^ assuming the office of t?~e Priqle<br />
Minister of India and wishes her all success in running an efficient and clean<br />
Govt. for the benefit of the people of our great country."<br />
Tbe motion proposed. Nine members took part in the debate. The motion was<br />
put to vote and passed unanimously.<br />
(ii) "This House warmly felicitates Dempo Sports Club on their repeated<br />
performance of w$nhg Rover's Cup which achievement by a <strong>Goa</strong>n teaan made<br />
the aOans proud," -. .
