One cut motion was moved to each of the demand Nos. 20 & 23. 15 members<br />
'ook part in the debate. The Minister for <strong>Legislative</strong> Affairs moved a motion for the<br />
*Axtension of the duration of the sitting of the House by one hour. The motion pm-<br />
posed, put to vote and carried. Cut motion to demand Nos. 20 and 23 were put to vote<br />
and defeated. All the above demands were put to vote and carried.<br />
IV. S/Shri A. N. Naik and Herculano Dourado MLAs raised half an hour discus-<br />
$ion under Rule 59 on points arising out of answer given ,on 8th April 1980 to a starred<br />
Question No. *423 regarding arrears of revenue in Electricity Department.,<br />
Wednesday, the 16th April, 1980<br />
I. 1) Ten Starred Questions were answered.<br />
ii) One Starred Question was postponed.<br />
iii) Three starred questions were not put as, the members concerned were<br />
absent and were transferred to Unstarred List.<br />
iv) Twenty six starred Questions were not reached and were transferred to<br />
Unstarred List.<br />
V) One Unstarred Question was answered.<br />
11. The Chief Minister laid the following papers on the Table of the House:<br />
1) Finance Accounts for the year 1977-78.<br />
2) Appropriation Accounts for the year 1977-78.<br />
3) Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Indian for the 1977-78.<br />
44 Finance Accounts for the year 1978-79.<br />
5) Appropriation Accounts for the year 1978-79.<br />
6) Report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the year<br />
1978-79.<br />
111. i) Shri Herculano Dourado, called the attention of the Minister for Education<br />
to the following matter of urgent public importance:<br />
"The discontentment and frustration caused amongst sportswomen of <strong>Goa</strong><br />
as reported in the Navhind Times dated 15th April, 1980 regarding the non-func-<br />
tioning of the all <strong>Goa</strong> Women's Hockey Association since 1975 inspite of the<br />
grants allotted by the sports council to the same body which has killed the<br />
hockey movement in <strong>Goa</strong> and the steps Government intends to take in the matter."<br />
The Minister for Education made a statement thereon. Few questions were also<br />
replied by way of clarification<br />
ii) Minister for Public Health made a statement in respect of the calling atten-<br />
tion notice raised by Shri Herculano Dourado regarding death of one Sakahutur<br />
Rehman Agha at Hospicio Hospital Margao to which his attention was called on 11th<br />
April, 2880.
