"This House strongly recommends Government to start a Higher Secondary<br />
School at Khandola-Marcel".<br />
Resolution proposed. Three members took psrt in the debate. Resolution was<br />
was withdrawn with the leave of the House.<br />
(v) Resolution No. 10 by Shri D. G. Mandrekar:<br />
"This House recommends Government to erect the statue of late Dr. Babasaheb<br />
Ambedkar, an Architect, of Indian Constitution, a great social reformer,<br />
and a great leader who dedicated his life for the cause of downtrodden; in the<br />
capital city of the Union territory of <strong>Goa</strong>, Da~an and Diu".<br />

11. Motion under Rule-123.<br />
Shri R. D. Khalap moved the following motion:<br />
"This House appreciates the enthusiasm shown by the people of <strong>Goa</strong> in<br />
organizing the appropriate functions to celebrate the tricentenary Death Anni-<br />
versary of Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and expresses the hope that people<br />
shall continue to follow the enlightened path shown by this great national<br />
leader".<br />
The motion proposed, put to vote and carried.<br />
111. The Chief Minister laid on the Table of the House a statement of his<br />
assets.<br />
IV. The secretary laid on the Table of the House the following Bills passed<br />
by the House and assented to by the Administrator:<br />
(i) Bill No. 5 of 1980-The <strong>Goa</strong>, Daman and Diu Supplementary Appropriation<br />
Bill, 1980.<br />
(ii) Bill No. 6 of 1980-The <strong>Goa</strong>, Daman and Diu Appropriation (Vote on<br />
Account) Bill, 1980.<br />
V. Shri C. U. Chodankar, called the attention of the Chief Minister to the<br />
following matter of urgent public importance:<br />
"Serious apprehension in the minds of the people on the reported news<br />
of large scale adulteration of liquor and fear in the minds of people as an health<br />
hazard and steps taken by Government in the matter".<br />
The Chief Minister made a statement thereon. Few Questions were &so replie.'<br />
