The motion proposed. Four members took part in the debate. The motion wqs<br />

put to vote and passed unanimously.<br />

VI. The Secretary laid on the table of the House the following Bill passed by the<br />

House and assented to by the Administrator.<br />

Bill no. 1 of 1980 - The <strong>Goa</strong>, Daman and Diu Appropriation Bill, 1980.<br />

VII. The Chairman of the Public Accounts Committeei-presented. the .28th and<br />

29th Reports of the Public Accounts Committee (1980-81) to the House.<br />

VIII. Hon. Speaker informed the House about the Report of the Business<br />

Advisory Committee. The Minister for <strong>Legislative</strong> Affairs moved for the adoption of<br />

the Report. The motion for adoption of the Report was put to vote and carried.<br />

IX. Minister for <strong>Legislative</strong> Affairs announced the business to be transacted<br />

during the week.<br />

X. The Minister for Finance (Chief Minister) presented and laid before the House<br />

Supplementary Demands for Graats for the year 1979-80.<br />

I. (i) ~hirteen starred questions were answered.<br />

(ii) One Starred question was postponed.<br />

(iii) Five Starred questio~~ were not reached and were transferred to unstarred<br />

list<br />

11. (1) S/Shri Dilkush F. Desai, V. D. Chodankar and R. D. Khalap, called the<br />

attention of the Chief Minister to the following matter of urgent public importance: -<br />

"Grave situation prevailing due to erruption of violence on 25-3-80 wherein<br />

14 policemen and Mr. Mathany Saldanha, General Secretary of 'Goenchea Ram-<br />

ponkarancho Ekvott' having received injuries during demonstration organised by<br />

All <strong>Goa</strong> Mechanised Boat owner Association in protest of Government's 5 km.<br />

order and enforcement of Section 144 of Cr. P. C. banning fishing in coastal<br />

area in 5 km. zone and steps Govt. intend to take in the matter".<br />

The Chief Minister asked for time to reply the calling attention notice.<br />

(2) Shri R. D. Khalap called the attention of the Chief Minister to the<br />

following matter of urgent public importance: -<br />

"Serious apprehension in the minds of the people over the alleged murder<br />

of one Surya Morajkar of Britona whose dead body was reportedly found in<br />

the verandah of his house and the action Government taken in the matter".<br />

The Chief Minister asked for time to reply the calling attention notice.<br />

III. The Minister for Finance (Chief Minister) presented and laid before the<br />

House the Annual Financial Statement for the year 1980-81,
