The concept of a college classroom has begun to change with the advent of internet. Computers are
becoming an integral part of the life and education and virtual classrooms are fast becoming a reality.
Educators all over the world and in India, especially, are being challenged to rethink and revise their
approaches and goals in teaching. In India, teachers and course designers need become aware of the
available programmes and find ways of integrating them in their regular courses. A selective list of
interesting sites is provided in the paper.The MA (English Language Teaching, ELT) Course offered
by H.M. Patel Institute of English Training and Research, they make use of some of the materials
available on the internet, though the institute is yet to obtain the internet connection. The paper
concludes with a report of the materials available at the Self Access Centre of the Institute.
