This directory and user's guide provides an overview of online fulltext resources in current state of<br />

development. Sections 1-3 discuss fulltext as a shift from citation to publishing, and the two leading<br />

commercial services, commercial databanks and CD-ROMs, which are attempting to create the<br />

commercial market. Sections 4-10 present seven different types of fulltext now available: some<br />

commercial, some academic, some simply public domain. Sections 11-12 discuss implications: some<br />

thoughts are presented on the threat of "information overload", and on the enormous efforts now<br />

underway to present all this fulltext flood in an organized and useful manner.<br />
