Each area of the performance management portal gives the district staff insight into the students and the organization. Typical examples of available views include: Student Assessment History – the student assessment tab is a single view for the teacher to see a history of exams and assorted assessments for a student. Exam results are displayed by type with some graphed over time to display progress. Ability Performance Charts – the data represented in these charts give teachers and administrators a graphical view to their student’s abilities in a particular subject area. College Readiness Reports – this is a graphical representation from the ACT Explore and Plan results that is a drill-down to compare sites against the district and national averages. District and site administrators use the tool to granularly look at targets and student performance to meet the federal and state accountability standards. The performance management tool is instrumental with gathering all of the semester and final exams in the secondary locations and displaying the properly scaled results for the teachers in a timely manner. The graphical nature of the tool is used to augment our GIS and ERP systems in producing accurate and dynamic Zone Reports. This is used by administrators in attendance zone planning and feeder school analysis. The performance management system has expanded to help evaluate students in exiting the LEP program, assess students in the literacy program as well as placing students into the PACE program. Continued development of additional tools within this system is an important initiative identified earlier in the plan document.
