Practical information
Traffic:
In Denmark you must always use your
seat belt, and the headlights must be
on – even during the day.
Cellphones in cars:
You can only use your cellphone while
driving if your phone has a headset or
handsfree installation.
Parking in towns:
Remember to set your parking disc.
A parking fine is min. DKK 510.
Parking discs are on sale in the
tourist office.
Crossing the border:
If you go to Germany, you must bring
your passport, which is the only valid
ID.

Ambulance / fire-fighters / police /
sea rescue. In case of accidents, acute
illness and other life-threatening
situations. The call will be received
at the operation control centre in
Esbjerg, and it is an advantage if you
can give precise information about
your location.
