Application Procedure<br />

Current <strong>Dartmouth</strong> students and dual-degree students can download an electronic<br />

Application deadline: 2 terms prior to the beginning term <strong>of</strong> the B.E. program.<br />

The B.E. program plan is submitted to the B.E. Program Committee at the time <strong>of</strong><br />

application.<br />

Tuition and Expenses<br />

Tuition for the 2010-2011 academic year is $13,326 per term, which covers instruction,<br />

use <strong>of</strong> instructional facilities, and health care service through the College infirmary.<br />

Students without their own hospital coverage must purchase a <strong>Dartmouth</strong> College<br />

hospital insurance policy for approximately $1,800 per year.<br />

The total cost <strong>of</strong> a year in the B.E. program, including tuition, books, room, board,<br />

and incidentals, will be approximately $59,000 for the academic year 2010-2011.<br />

Financial aid can significantly lower the yearly cost.<br />

Financial Aid<br />

Full-time students in the B.E. program are eligible for aid in the form <strong>of</strong> partialtuition<br />

scholarships, hourly employment as teaching assistants or in other capacities,<br />

fellowships, and loans. Special and part-time students are not eligible for financial aid.<br />

The assessment <strong>of</strong> need is based on the PROFILE application for U.S. applicants.<br />

International applicants must complete an International Student Financial Aid<br />

Application. Awards are made annually on an academic year basis. Applications<br />
