NON-COMPETITIVE SPIRIT TEAM ADVISOR VERIFICATION (~FACULTY<br />
MEMBER OR REGISTERED VOLUNTEER~) –School Required<br />
For non-competitive – (SIDELINE) cheer/dance advisors<br />
TO BE SUBMITTED EACH YEAR FOR EACH ACTIVE NON-FACULTY / REGISTERED VOLUNTEER ADVISOR<br />
WHO MUST MEET THE <strong>AAA</strong> REQUIREMENTS BELOW FOR SCHOOL ACTIVITIES<br />
The school must complete and submit this form stating that all specified documents are ON FILE AT THE<br />
SCHOOL. This is required for each Faculty Advisor or Registered Volunteer whom the school permits to be<br />
responsible for a non-competitive school spirit team.<br />

1. A faculty member MAY receive financial compensation for such services.<br />
2. A non-faculty Registered Volunteer MAY NOT receive financial compensation for such services.<br />
3. FOR REGISTERED VOLUNTEERS ONLY:<br />
a. A Registered Volunteer Enrollment form must accompany this verification form.<br />
b. Upon completion of the requirements below, obtain a letter from the school administration<br />
authorizing the volunteer to represent the school in the named activity(ies) for the current<br />
(name year) school year ONLY.<br />
DO NOT SEND UNTIL ALL ITEMS ARE COMPLETE.<br />
The school is required to have ON FILE the following confirmed credentials prior to the individual assuming sideline<br />
spirit activities duties.<br />
Check to the left indicating each item the school has ON FILE. Do not send items below to <strong>AAA</strong>.<br />
1. Certification – CPR (recertification as required)<br />
2. Certification – AED (defibrillator - recertification as required)<br />
3. Current health certificate (tb skin test - repeat as required for teachers)<br />
4. Current background check (fingerprinting - repeat as required for teachers)<br />
5. Concussion Training – NFHS Concussion Course (online at www.nfhslearn.com)<br />
6. Heat Illness Training - available through <strong>Arkansas</strong>IDEAS at http://ideas.aetn.org/<br />
7. MSRA Training – Requirement begins for the <strong>2012</strong>-2013 school year<br />

A minimum of six hours of in-service training provided by the school specific to the activity in<br />
which the advisor is involved.<br />
In addition, a non-competitive (sideline) CHEER advisor must have:<br />
Current AACCA Safety Certification (4-yr certification – recertify by taking the course again – online September 1, 2009)<br />
Online rules meetings are required of Cheer and Dance advisors.<br />
