118 The old Road Inn at Bergsgården is situated next to <strong>the</strong> old road between <strong>Falun</strong> and<br />

119 The redpa<strong>in</strong>ted manor <strong>of</strong> Heden is a very well preserved settlement with build<strong>in</strong>gs<br />

from <strong>the</strong> 1700 th to 1900 th centuries.<br />

C 1 The Hosjö area.<br />

127 The beutiful cultural landscape alongside <strong>the</strong> lake Hosjön and <strong>the</strong> Sundbornsån<br />

river has a lot <strong>of</strong> m<strong>in</strong>er-yeomen homesteads and manors. Here <strong>the</strong> Backa manor.<br />

128 The slag heaps at Hosjöholmen rem<strong>in</strong>ds us about <strong>the</strong> first documented copper<br />

furnaces, located <strong>in</strong> this place.<br />

129 The two manors at Höjen are good examples on smaller m<strong>in</strong>er-yeomen manors <strong>in</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> Hosjö area.<br />

130 The Östborn manor at lake Hosjön is a peculiar mixture <strong>of</strong> early 1800 th and late<br />

1900 th century way <strong>of</strong> build<strong>in</strong>g.<br />

131 The w<strong>in</strong>g at Sveden manor is known to be <strong>the</strong> wedd<strong>in</strong>g cottage for <strong>the</strong> famous<br />

swedish botanist Carl von L<strong>in</strong>né and his bride Sara Lisa Morea, who was born at<br />

this estate. Their wedd<strong>in</strong>g took place <strong>in</strong> 1739.<br />

132 The "Prevet" (<strong>the</strong> lavatory) at Sveden manor is from <strong>the</strong> late 1700 th century.<br />

133 Rottneby manor is an arcitectural <strong>in</strong>trest<strong>in</strong>g build<strong>in</strong>g from <strong>the</strong> 1900 th century <strong>in</strong> its<br />

present appearance.<br />

134 The manor at Lilla Främsbacka dates back to 1809.<br />

C 2 The Sundbornsån valley<br />

135 The m<strong>in</strong>er-yeomen homestead at Lilla Karlborn is a typical representative for <strong>the</strong><br />

smaller manors <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Sundbornsån valley.<br />

136 Stora Karlborn manor has been added many times. The tower is said to have been<br />

built for a sick daughter <strong>in</strong> purpose to give her better air.<br />

137 The Sundborn village is a dense redpa<strong>in</strong>ted area with small log build<strong>in</strong>gs.<br />

138 The wooden church at Sundborn is typical for swedish countryside churches from<br />

<strong>the</strong> 1700 th and 1800 th century. The church was built up <strong>in</strong> 1755 and <strong>the</strong> bell-tower<br />

<strong>in</strong><br />

1797. In 1905 <strong>the</strong> church was decorated <strong>in</strong> a very special manner by <strong>the</strong> world-<br />
