12 Jungfrau Region Tourism Organisation Since 01.01.2008 Jungfrau Region Marketing AG (JRM AG) has been responsible for marketing the destination. The local tourist offices of Grindelwald, Wengen, Mürren, Lauterbrunnen, Stechelberg and Gimmelwald have outsourced the marketing to JRM AG. It is JRM AG’s chief task to market the tourist destinations to defined target groups using suitable marketing instruments. A further important duty lies in the administration of central elements such as IT and human resources or the task of coordination for the entire tourist destination. Targets The organizations main target is to optimize the capacity of beds in hotels, holiday apartments and other accommodations. The Jungfrau Region depends to more than 95% of the tourism branch and needs added value. To reach the targets, we focus on different target groups in the B2B and B2C Business. Finances JRM AG is financed on one side by revenue from the Tourism Promotion Contribution, the cantonal lodging fee and through service agreements, on the other side by various proceeds from JRM AG. The local tourist offices, the transport companies and the municipalities of Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen are shareholders of JRM AG. The organization counts 14 employees and four trainees.
