Specific Species<br />

Streambank stabilization, riparian area plantings:<br />

arroyo chub, <strong>San</strong>ta Ana speckled dace, <strong>San</strong>ta Ana sucker, unarmored threespine<br />

stickleback and other native fishes, and southwestern willow flycatcher<br />

Control of invasive, nonnative species--water loving plant species such as arundo and<br />

tamarisk, warm water fish, bullfrogs, and weeds in the upland areas:<br />

partially armored threespine stickleback and other native fishes, arroyo toad, southern<br />

Pacific pond turtle and southwestern willow flycatcher<br />

Control of feral animals--domestic sheep and dogs:<br />

Nelson's bighorn sheep and Peninsular bighorn sheep<br />

Vegetation and fuel treatments, prescribed burning:<br />

Quino checkerspot butterfly, partially armored threespine stickleback, <strong>San</strong>ta Ana sucker and<br />

other native fishes, mountain yellow-legged frog, California spotted owl, flammulated owl,<br />

purple martin, Nelson's bighorn sheep, and Peninsular bighorn sheep<br />

mountain yellow-legged frog, least Bell's vireo, and southwestern willow flycatcher<br />

Species responsive to vegetation treatments:<br />

California spotted owl and Nelson's bighorn sheep<br />

Species recovery after wildfire (burned area monitoring):<br />

<strong>San</strong>ta Ana speckled dace, mountain yellow-legged frog, California spotted owl, and Sidlacea<br />

hickmanii ssp. parishii<br />

Upland plant species:<br />

Arenaria lanuginosa ssp. saxosa, Galium californicum ssp. primum, Taraxacum<br />
