F. Guidelines During the Flag Ceremony<br />

VI STUDENT SERVICES<br />

1. General Guidelines<br />

A. Registrar’s Office<br />

The flag ceremony is held every Monday from 7:10 to 7:25 A.M. It is considered<br />

a first period class every Monday. Attendance must be checked by<br />

either the class adviser or the first period subject teachers. The Attendance<br />

Monitoring Folder shall be distributed by the Registrars Office starting 7:00<br />

A.M. A s<strong>tuden</strong>t shall incur one unexcused absence for every five (5) absences<br />

during the flag ceremony.<br />

The <strong>Campus</strong> Director oversees the flag raising ceremony, assisted by the<br />

SSD and the CISD chiefs. It shall be under the leadership and supervision<br />

of the S<strong>tuden</strong>t Alliance. The flow and conduct of the ceremony must be<br />

uniform and must conform to the expectations of an orderly and systematic<br />

program for the s<strong>tuden</strong>ts.<br />

The Registrars office is in-charge of enrollment, dissemination of general<br />

information regarding entrance tests and the release of results, recording<br />

and ranking of grades, preparation of stipends payroll, issuance of IDs, report<br />

cards and transcript of records at the end of the school year. It is open<br />

from 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Mondays to Fridays.<br />

a. All scholars are expected to:<br />

• be punctual.<br />

• observe silence and order.<br />

• sing and act properly.<br />

• recite from memory the following songs and pledges.<br />

– National Anthem<br />

– DOST Hymn<br />

– PSHS Hymn<br />

– Cordillera Hymn<br />

– <strong>Baguio</strong> Hymn<br />

– Panatang Makabayan<br />

– Panunumpa sa Watawat<br />

• be in complete uniform with the ID worn properly.<br />

Attendance monitoring is a system being used to record s<strong>tuden</strong>ts punctuality<br />

and actual presence in class. The Registrars Office keeps the Attendance<br />

Monitoring Folder which is issued and retrieved daily. The Office is open<br />

before classes start to provide the first period teachers reasonable time to<br />

get the Attendance Monitoring Folder. The teacher of the last class for the<br />

day shall return the Attendance Monitoring Folder to the Registrars Office.<br />

The subject teacher at the start of the class period, writes down the<br />

names of the s<strong>tuden</strong>ts who are late or absent in class in the Attendance<br />

Monitoring Form. The subject teachers must sign in the appropriate space<br />

to indicate his/her actual presence in the classroom. The CISD uses the<br />

same form in checking the actual presence of the faculty in the classroom.<br />

At the end of the month, the clerk in charge of the class prepares the<br />

summary of attendance for the preparation of stipend and living allowance<br />

payroll and for the use of the class adviser, CISD and SSD. Parents are notified<br />

thru the attendance report reflected on the Report card. Queries on<br />

tardiness, cutting classes and absences may be addressed on or before cardgiving<br />

day with the class adviser. Parents may also inquire from the Registrars<br />

Office anytime.<br />

All records of attendance are kept in the Registrars Office.<br />

b. The SA shall assign a batch, section or club to facilitate the flag ceremony.<br />

The batch, section or club adviser shall take the responsibility to train<br />

or practice the leaders for the Prayer, National Anthem, “PSHS Hymn”,<br />

“Panunumpa sa Watawat”and “Panatang Makabayan”.<br />

c. All scholars should assemble at 7:00 A.M. (first bell) and the line formation<br />

should be complete by 7:05 A.M. (second bell). S<strong>tuden</strong>ts are not<br />

allowed to go up the academic buildings on Mondays until after the flag
