The range of sanctions which shall be imposed depending upon<br />

mitigating and aggravating factors include the following:<br />

The Director, through the Discipline Officer, disseminates the<br />

BOT decision to all parties concerned. The Discipline Officer<br />

sees through the implementation of the decision.<br />

B. Sanctions for Major Offenses<br />

10. S<strong>tuden</strong>ts should be responsible for their belongings and should not<br />

expect anyone to pick them up for safekeeping. S<strong>tuden</strong>ts are enjoined<br />

to follow these guidelines:<br />

The Board of Trustees (BOT) reviews the decision of the Executive<br />

Committee where the sanction imposed is termination of<br />

scholarship. Such power to review may be delegated by the BOT<br />

to the Executive Committee.<br />

9. S<strong>tuden</strong>ts who steal and/or use stolen items shall be held liable under<br />

the PSHS Code of Conduct.<br />

7. All externs shall be issued lockers at the beginning of the school year.<br />

8. During P.E. classes, i.e., swimming, s<strong>tuden</strong>ts should surrender their<br />

valuables to the teacher.<br />

The Director through the Discipline Officer, informs the home<br />

room adviser and the teachers concerned of the dates of suspension<br />

of a s<strong>tuden</strong>t. The Discipline Officer sees through the<br />

implementation of the decision.<br />

5. Board of Trustees (BOT) Meeting<br />

6. Unclaimed items after the last day of classes in November and March,<br />

shall be donated to charitable institutions through the S<strong>tuden</strong>t Alliance.<br />

5. School supplies (paper, pencil, etc.) lying around unattended in the<br />

lobbies, corridors, canteen, etc. shall be considered as lost and found<br />

items and shall be collected by the school authorities (faculty and<br />

staff), SA officers and CAT officers.<br />

The Director through the Discipline Officer, informs the s<strong>tuden</strong>t,<br />

his/ her parents/ guardians, advisers, subject teachers,<br />

CISD and SSD of the sanctions by providing each one a copy of<br />

the decision at least three (3) days before the sanction is served.<br />

4. S<strong>tuden</strong>ts who habitually lose their things shall be referred to the Discipline<br />

Officer for a parents conference, write a commitment paper<br />

and/or render community service.<br />

3. After proper recording by the Registrars Office, lost and found books<br />

owned by the school shall be turned over to the Property Office. A<br />

conference with parent(s) and a commitment paper are needed for<br />

the retrieval of these books.<br />

In this meeting, the EC/AC/MANCOM performs the following<br />

functions:<br />

a. Review the decision of the Discipline Committee<br />

b. Impose the appropriate sanctions<br />

When the penalty imposed is suspension, the decision of the<br />

EC/ AC/ MANCOM is final. However, if the sanction is termination<br />

of scholarship, the recommendation is elevated to the Board<br />

of Trustees, through the Executive Committee.<br />

2. Lost and Found items shall be reported and/or turned over to the Registrars<br />

Office as soon as possible. The owner can retrieve a lost item<br />

by presenting a Lost Item Report.<br />

4. Executive Council (EC) / Academic Council (AC) Meeting/MANCOM<br />

Meeting<br />

1. The Registrars Office shall be the official depository of all Lost and<br />

Found items.<br />

3. Guidelines on Lost and Found Items/Upkeep of Things<br />

based, within three (3) school days from its last meeting.<br />

The Discipline Officer shall keep a record of the Discipline Committee<br />

Report.<br />
