Enhanced Structure Selection in LINC Generate
On the LINC Audit Inquiry Listing (ADQ) and LDL Listing Utility (LDL) screens, you can
choose to select individual structures to be included in your listing. In LINC Release
16.3/16R3, you can use the Continue from field to choose a starting point for the list of
structures. This enables you to access the structures you require, without having to display
multiple screens containing all structures.
See your LINC Generate Operations Guide for descriptions of the ADQ and LDL screens.
Enhanced Handling of Dates
In LINC II Release 16.1/16R1, the System Data item GLB.CENTURY was included to supply
the century for use in complex DATE.CONVERT; commands. GLB.CENTURY was updated
if a date prior to the base year was used in the date conversion. This new value of
GLB.CENTURY was used in subsequent date conversion, and could have caused problems
interpreting dates.
For example, if the base year is 1957, LINC initially sets GLB.CENTURY to 19. A year of 70
is interpreted as 1970. A year of 40 is interpreted as 2040 and GLB.CENTURY is set
automatically to 20. A year of 70 is subsequently interpreted as 2070.
In LINC Release 16.3/16R3, you can choose whether or not to update GLB.CENTURY, by
setting the DC; sets GLB.CENTURY field on the Primary Specification Options screen. A
new System Data item GLB.DC-CC is automatically updated to contain the century of the
date during date conversion.
A conversion report is provided to ease migration. See ‘‘Date Handling ’’, in Section 2 for
details. See your LINC Programming Reference Manual for details of the
DATE.CONVERT; command and the Systems Data items GLB.CENTURY, GLB.DC-CC, and
ACTMTH.
Increased MAPPER File Header
In LINC Release 16.3/16R3, you can now include 256 characters in a Report Frame you are
using as the header for a MAPPER Extract file. This limit was 132 in previous releases.
