Introduction
Windows 2000 Compatibility
Developer software is qualified on Windows 2000 Professional, and we see no reason
why Developer will not work on Windows 2000 Server or Advanced Server. Please note
the following requirements:
• Runtime for Windows Operating Systems and Builder Server for Windows Operating
Systems require Windows 2000 Server when using the SQL Server database in a
Windows 2000 environment. (This does not affect the ability of SQL Server database
to operate in a Windows NT 4.0 environment.)
• Terminal Server requires Windows 2000 Server.
Unisys e-@ction Branding
By the end of the year 2000 all Unisys products and services will be named or renamed in
the Unisys e-@ction Branding schema. The purpose of this initiative is to shift the naming
of Unisys products and services from component or system level to the solution level.
Accordingly, the LINC range of products will now be known as the Unisys e-@ction
Enterprise Application Environment. The PowerClient range will go under the umbrella of
Unisys e-@ction Graphical Interface Workbench. These names will better reflect the path
that Unisys is taking to serve the needs of enterprise wide application developers.
The tables in the following sections identify all former products and published product
information and map them to their new names.
Note: The new name for MAPPER is Unisys e-@ction Business Information Server.
