Configuring and Generating Systems
The following files are created when configuring and generating a System.
File Description
system*SYS$LIB. System configuration information plus some ECL (for example,
LINC$CNTL, RDML$EXT, COPY$ECL)
system*TRX$SYM. Ispec logic symbolics
system*TRX$REL. Ispec logic relocatables
system*TRX$ABS. Ispec logic absolutes
system*SCR$SYM. Ispec Screen subprogram symbolics
system*SCR$REL. Ispec Screen subprogram relocatables
system*GEN$RUN. System generation runstreams for BATCH processing, serial or split
runs
system*PDP$LIB. Common database access code
system*REP$SYM. Report symbolics (if Reports exist)
system*REP$REL. Report relocatables (if Reports exist)
system*REP$ABS. Report absolutes (if Reports exist)
system*REP$RUN. Report runstreams (if Reports exist)
runtime*systemP$. HVTIP library containing subprogram banks (ICP and Ispecs) of the
System. For UCS Subsystems, it is a SUPUR library containing the
standard TIP ICP used to access the Subsystem.
system*TRX$SSDP. UCS Subsystem definition, registered with the operating system
during SOLAR PRODLD. Exclusively assigned to the Exec until the
Subsystem is deactivated. (It is not created for HVTIP Systems).
runtime*systemS$. Subsystem library of object modules. Exclusively assigned to the
Exec until the Subsystem is deactivated. (It is not created for HVTIP
Systems).
Note: The runtime*systemP$. file is only valid if you are not using HVTIP shared libraries.
If your default duplex pack is specified then your HVTIP library will be duplexed and the file
will be runtime*system$2P$.
Output from Configure or Generate
The P$ file is cycled, enabling you to access previous runs. Each Report Batch generate
and Individual Report generates use one cycle of the P$ file.
If you choose to split runs for your generate or configure, the following files are created.
