In this class, a selection of political, cultural, economic and critical texts will be<br />
translated. Participants will be required to hand in at least five translations. Two<br />
"Klausuren" will be written.<br />
The course will be held in English.<br />

This class will focus on the translation of specialist texts taken from a variety of<br />
commercial fields including marketing, financial markets, the internet, retailing and<br />
logistics. A real interest in these specialist language fields is assumed, and a sound<br />
grasp of business concepts and terminology is essential.<br />
Texts will be distributed throughout the semester, and grading will be based on<br />
translation assignments and a two-hour end-of-semester translation paper.
