This course will practice translating texts of an advanced nature. Texts will be taken<br />
mainly from quality newspaper sources and the subjects will be both political and<br />
topical.<br />
Credit for the course will be awarded to those who do the regular class assignments<br />
and pass the end-of-term exam.<br />

Intensive practice in all areas that might be tested in the different types of final exam.<br />
Special emphasis will be laid on the verbal system of English. A diagnostic test will<br />

Nachwort, einen Klappentext, ein Lektoratsgutachten etc. zu einem literarischen Text<br />
(Sekundärliteratur); wie gestaltet man eine Werbeanzeige, eine<br />
Bedienungsanleitung, ein Rezept, eine Geburts- oder Todesanzeige etc.<br />
(Gebrauchstexte).
