Initializing the Dosimeter The first time the dosimeter is connected to the PC, it must be initialized. After connecting the dosimeter “Found New Hardware Wizard” will appear. Select “No, not this time” then click Next > Notes: · Each dosimeter has a unique serial number. Multiple dosimeters can be interfaced with a single PC; however, only one dosimeter at a time can be connected to the PC. · When more than one dosimeter will be used with a single PC, “Found New Hardware” Wizard will appear the first time each dosimeter is connected to the PC. · After each dosimeter is taken through this process once, the interface will recognize the dosimeter’s unique serial number each time the dosimeter is connected. 32
Select “Install the software automatically”and click Next > If the following screen appears, click “Continue Anyway.” When the “Found New Hardware Wizard” is complete, click Finish. The dosimeter’s unique serial number is now recognized by the Utility Suite. 33
