• EuropaBio Members have carried out an extensive
power investigation based on existing <strong>90</strong>-<strong>day</strong> feeding
data.
– Mean response levels and estimates of variation based on 13 studies
for corn-based diets and 10 studies for soy-based diets.
– Some studies based on one animal per cage and others based on two
or more animals per cage.
• The endpoints and effect sizes used in this exercise
were those discussed previously, that are widely
considered by experts in the field to be
toxicologically-relevant.
