The National Committee of the European
Youth Parliament in Italy
Created in 1994, the Associazione Parlamento Europeo Giovani is the Italian
branch of the EYP in Italy. Very active and dynamic, it has already organised 21
annual National Selection Conferences and the 50th anniversary International
Session of the EYP in Bari. The National Committee is also organising trainings for
chairs and journalists. EYP Italy reaches appreciatively 500-600 participants each
year thanks to all its activities and to the selection process for the participation to
the National Selection Conferences.
Activities in 2008
20th National Selection Conference:
Leghorn, March 27 - 30.
The aim of the event was to select the
school which represented Italy at the
59th International Session of EYP in
Rennes. The school second classified
took part in the Bad Urach Forum of EYP
Germany. For the first time EYP Italy
organised the Committee Work during
which the delegates debated in groups on
a common topic that was also discussed
in GA. Number of participants: 138

1st National Selection Conference:
Bologna, April 20 - 23
The aim of the event was to select the
school which will represent Italy at the
60th International Session of EYP in
Stockholm. The second school qualified
took part in the Aachen Forum of EYP
Germany. Number of participants: 142
