The National Committee of the <strong>European</strong><br />
<strong>Youth</strong> <strong>Parliament</strong> in Italy<br />
Created in 1994, the Associazione Parlamento Europeo Giovani is the Italian<br />
branch of the EYP in Italy. Very active and dynamic, it has already organised 21<br />
annual National Selection Conferences and the 50th anniversary International<br />
Session of the EYP in Bari. The National Committee is also organising trainings for<br />
chairs and journalists. EYP Italy reaches appreciatively 500-600 participants each<br />
year thanks to all its activities and to the selection process for the participation to<br />
the National Selection Conferences.<br />
Activities in <strong>2008</strong><br />
20th National Selection Conference:<br />
Leghorn, March 27 - 30.<br />
The aim of the event was to select the<br />
school which represented Italy at the<br />
59th International Session of EYP in<br />
Rennes. The school second classified<br />
took part in the Bad Urach Forum of EYP<br />
Germany. For the first time EYP Italy<br />
organised the Committee Work during<br />
which the delegates debated in groups on<br />
a common topic that was also discussed<br />
in GA. Number of participants: 138<br />
Patrons: Under the High Patronage of<br />
the President of the Italian Republic - On.<br />

1st National Selection Conference:<br />
Bologna, April 20 - 23<br />
The aim of the event was to select the<br />
school which will represent Italy at the<br />
60th International Session of EYP in<br />
Stockholm. The second school qualified<br />
took part in the Aachen Forum of EYP<br />
Germany. Number of participants: 142<br />
