The National Committee of the European
Youth Parliament in Sweden
EYP was introduced in Sweden in 1992 and in 1995 a National Committee was
officially created, joined by an Alumni Association in 2003. In 2005, the National
Committee and the Alumni Association were re-integrated into one organisation.
From 1994 to 2005 the National Committee organised one-day National Selection
Conferences annually. Since 2005 a three-day National Session is organised.
Throughout the years, EYP Sweden has hosted two international sessions (1995
and 2001). The 60th International Session of the EYP in spring 2009 will take place
in Stockholm.
Each year, EYP Sweden reaches approximately 900 youngsters thanks to the selection
process for the participation to the National Session and its other activities.
