medical conditions. A woman experiencing <strong>partner</strong><br />

violence who discloses to a clinician has gone<br />

through ‘…a complex process. Factors involved in<br />

this process include the woman’s recognition of<br />

a problem, her willingness to trust her clinician<br />

with this in<strong>for</strong>mation, and her perception of the<br />

clinician’s openness to hearing her story with<br />

compassion and without judgment.’<br />
