background, the one in fact whom Don Bosco selected as patron for his Brothers.
There is practical Christianity here and a different insight into another perspective of
God.”
But perhaps the ultimate tribute to Br Henry, Salesian of Don Bosco, was paid by an
Old Boy of Boys’ Town, John Landauer:
“Br Henry was truly a one off. For me he can be best summed up as ’A Father to
many young boys and a Friend to everyone’.”
In conclusion, I wish to convey my sincere thanks to all those who were able to
attend Henry’s farewell eucharists at Sunbury and Engadine, particularly the
Salesians, Salesian Sisters, Salesian Family Members and Past Pupils who were
present, as well as Henry’s many friends and associates. I would also like to
acknowledge the members of the Sunbury and Engadine/Heathcote communities
(especially the Parish, Dunlea Centre and John Paul Village groups) who graciously
‘hosted’ the two eucharists.
Finally, in regard to the funeral mass at Sunbury, I wish to thank my two principal
concelebrants, Bernie Graham and Peter Carroll, all concelebrants and office-bearers,
Paul Miles and his team for leading the music and singing, and Fr Chris Dimolianis, a
Greek Orthodox Priest from South Melbourne, who is a past student of Boys’ Town
and officially represented all the Boys’ Town old boys at the funeral.
