Protection classes –<br />

Protection against electric shock<br />

To protect life, precaution must be taken to prevent<br />

shock caused by live parts on electrical appliances.<br />

Consequently each luminaire has to be properly<br />

insulated so that all danger caused by touching<br />

live parts is avoided. Special attention must be<br />

paid that all appliances are disconnected from<br />

power supply, should in any way the insulation<br />

become damaged.<br />

Protection classes advise on the various ways of<br />

application.<br />
