Illumination diagrams for simple
planning
The drawings below provide a simple and fast
survey of the average illuminance of a surface at
a specific distance from a light source.
It should be taken into account that the specified
average illuminance value at the named surface
limits represents half the maximum value and does
not drop to "Zero" but decreases
gradually.
If the light approaches at an angle, the average
illuminance value reduced according to the angle
of incidence.
Isolux diagrams
In isolux diagrams the points with the same
illuminance value are joined up with a line
(isolux curve).

In the isolux diagrams for sign illumination,
the luminaires are placed above the illuminated
surface.
The distance depends on the luminaire type and the
size of the sign.

Wall and pathway luminaires are situated on the
lower side of the diagram. They illuminate the area
below the luminaire from a given height (=LPH).

In the isolux diagrams for area floodlights, the
luminaires are situated on the left side of the
diagram. The light source height (LPH) and the
dimensions of the area are given as a possible
application example.
Colours
All painted luminaires and their accessories are
chromate pretreated and susequently polyester
powder coated.
Standard textured finishes:
black (RAL 9005)
white (RAL 9002)
silver grey
