Angling on Køge River
Under
the surface …
Køge Bay offers a host of opportunities for
those with a rod in their hands, families as
well as dedicated anglers. You can fish along
the coast or in the rivers Køge Å and Tryggevælde
Å.
Besides pike, perch and sea trout, Trygge vælde
Å is also a great place to catch ide, tench, roach
and eel. Day cards are on sale on www.dagkort.dk
and at the Uno X filling station in Vallø.
Angling cards for the lakes Kimmerslev Sø and
Dalby Sø are for sale at Borup Library (Bibliotek)
and on www.dagkort.dk.
Angling is possible between the three white
bridges across Køge Å. The river is noted for
its population of large perches and sea trouts,
but it is also possible to catch river trout, pike
and non-predatory fish.
Offshore fishing
Køge Bay is well known for its unique population
of sea trout, a considerable number being
landed every year, and the shore is a great
place to use a spinning or fly fishing rod. Some
great places for anglers trying their luck are
near Mosede Harbour and Mosede Fort.
