Initially, the results of the survey appear promising for this area; a number of
accredited qualifications cover 86% of the wish-list skills in total. However, this is
spread over a number of different qualifications that do not form one cohesive
qualification progression route. For example, Amenity Horticulture (Landscaping)
SVQ Levels 2 and 3 cover 43% of the wish-list skills, while only 29% is covered by
the Horticulture HN. Independently of those qualifications, General Building
Operations (Construction Level 3) covers 57% of the skills, while 29% are covered
separately by the NPA Roads Maintenance.
This means that the highest percentage of wish-list skills covered by any one
qualification is 57% (General Building Operations (Construction Level 3)).
