6411 Measurement unit <strong>code</strong><br />

Code specifying the unit of measurement.<br />

Notes:<br />

| 1. Recommend use UN/ECE Recommendation 20, Common <strong>code</strong>.<br />

4+ U2 = tablet<br />

A unit of count defining the number of tablets (tablet: a small flat<br />

or compressed solid object).<br />

<strong>GS1</strong> Description:<br />

Dosage form for pharmaceuticals, pressed or compacted from a<br />

powder into a solid dose.<br />

+ UI = Unit of activity, predefined (<strong>GS1</strong> Code)<br />

+ VI = vial<br />

WTT<br />

A measure pertaining to a predefined activity.<br />

<strong>GS1</strong> Description:<br />

Small glass container. E.g. for a liquid medicine or perfume.<br />

The specification of a word as a measurement unit, e.g. 21 words<br />

in a telex.<br />
