7036 Characteristic description<br />

Free form description of a characteristic.<br />

7037 Characteristic description <strong>code</strong><br />

A <strong>code</strong> specifying a characteristic.<br />

++ COMPLIAN = Class Compliance Code (<strong>GS1</strong> Code)<br />

A <strong>code</strong> that indicates that a trade item is in compliance with<br />

specific applicable government regulations.<br />

++ MATERIAL = Material Information (<strong>GS1</strong> Code)<br />

This element is used to specify the quality of material (fabric) of a<br />

trade item.<br />

4+ ORGANIC = Organic Trade Item Code (<strong>GS1</strong> Code)<br />

Used to indicate the organic status of a trade item or of one or<br />

more of its components.<br />

4+ PACKMAT = Packaging Material (<strong>GS1</strong> Code)<br />

++ RECYCLE = Recycle (<strong>GS1</strong> Code)<br />

Used to indicate packaging material in segment CAV.<br />

The recycling scheme a package is under if marked as<br />

recyclable.<br />

4+ UOM = Ordering and Selling Unit of Measure (<strong>GS1</strong> Code)<br />

+ X1 = TCO-95 (<strong>GS1</strong> Code)<br />

Used to indicate ordering and selling Unit of Measure in segment<br />

CAV.<br />

The item is TCO-95 compliant i.e. meets the mandatory and<br />

recommended requirements for certification as contained in the<br />

Swedish Confederation of Professional Employees(TCO)<br />

environmental labelling scheme published in 1995.<br />

+ X10 = Energy star (<strong>GS1</strong> Code)<br />

+ X2 = TCO-98 (<strong>GS1</strong> Code)<br />

The household appliance is in the top of its class for energy<br />

efficiency. Products that meet the US Environmental Protection<br />

Agency and the US Department of Energy efficiency criteria<br />

qualify as Energy Star.<br />
