corruption in the humanitarian work.<br />

2. Accountability in humanitarian action (Principles 3,4,6 & 7)<br />
To strengthen the systems to ensure that DWS<br />
fulfils the highest programmatic and<br />
administrative standards, in an accountable and<br />
transparent way.<br />
• Several training workshops to DWS staff were<br />
conducted. Issues related to accountability were:<br />
right-based approach and empowerment, internal<br />
controls and quality assurance.<br />
• Programme and Finance staff met together<br />
representing 29 country programmes in a global<br />
workshop relating to enhanced quality and<br />
accountability<br />
• Sharing of <strong>HAP</strong> Principles of Accountability with staff<br />
• Discussion with partners (associate programmes)<br />
