Definitions: AIDS Orphans: Number children under 15 years whose mothers have died of HIV/AIDS. AIDS sick: Number of people estimated to be living with AIDS defining conditions. HIV prevalence (%) (antenatal): Percentage of women surveyed testing positive for HIV. HIV prevalence (%) (total population): Percentage of population estimated to be HIV positive. Population used as denominator is generally the projected population calculated from the given model. Note: this is equivalent to indicators called ‘People living with HIV/AIDS’. Percentage of deaths due to AIDS: Percentage of total deaths attributed to AIDS related causes.
