Person of Interest Episode Guide
Later, Alonzo calls Simmons, unaware that Carter is listening in. Alonzo tells Simmons to keep
an eye on Carter, but they can’t afford to kill anyone else. Simmons says that he’s meeting with
Yogorov at a grain depot and Alonzo tells him to get the mobster to agree to the new place. Later,
Simmons and a new man, Mitchell, meet Yogorov at the depot. Carter monitors the conversation
as Simmons informs Yogorov that their services will cost an extra 10% Yogorov wants more as
well and points out that his brother is still in prison. When Simmons says that it takes time, the
mobster complains that HR is treating him like a lackey and refuses to pay. He tells Simmons
that he’ll take his chances and walks off. Mitchell asks Simmons what he wants to do, and
Simmons say that he has a new assignment for him.
Carter goes home that night, seemingly unaware that a HR cop is watching her from across
the street. Reese is waiting for her, and asks her where her son Taylor is. She tells him that
Taylor is somewhere safe and Reese offers to kill the HR man outside. When he offers to help,
Carter tells him that she doesn’t want his help because he’s still a criminal in the eyes of the law.
Reese accepts her decision and tells her to do what she needs to do, but warns that HR won’t
give go down without a fight. Once Reese leaves, Carter breaks her cell phone so that Finch can’t
track her or listen in.
2005 — A recently-gradated Carter heads out on the street with her new partner. She notices a
man across the street, Paul, and goes over to talk to him. Paul says that he just got into town
and is hooking up with a construction crew. She demands to know why he’s there and Paul says
that he wanted to know how his son Taylor is doing. When she asks if he went to the VA, Paul
insists that he just needed some time to clear his head. Carter points out that he was suffering
from stress after he came back from the war, and warns him that he isn’t going to see Taylor
until he gets some professional help.
Now — The next day, Carter meets with Fusco at his request. He asks how she’s doing and then
figures that someone shot both of them and staged the scene. Fusco asks who, and Carter says
that she doesn’t want any part of it now. Her former partner wonders why she doesn’t want to
know, and Carter claims that it isn’t worth the risk to find out. Carter tells him to lay low and
Fusco takes off. Once he’s gone, Carter makes a call and asks someone to pay a visit.
That night, Yogorov is eating at a restaurant when his man brings him word that their shipment
is on time. The mobster chokes on a bullet in his food, draws his gun, and goes into the
kitchen. Elias and his men are there and easily capture them. Yogorov wonders why Elias is
still in town, and the former crime lord says that the cops will betray Yogorov if he doesn’t do
something about it. Elias says that he wants a chance to make HR suffering, and Scarface gives
Yogorov a batch of files. Once Elias and his people leave, Yogorov considers the files. Meanwhile,
Elias calls Carter and tells her that Yogorov got the package, but he doesn’t know if he got the
message. Carter advises Elias to lie low for a few days, and he wishes her the best of luck. Sam
joins Carter and gives her a bag of guns, and Carter thanks her for not telling the others. When
Sam asks if Carter can use an assist, Carter thanks her but says that she can take it from there.
Later that night, Yogorov’s men are driving the truck through town. Carter steps out wearing
a gas mask, shoots a gas grenade into the cab, and forces them both down on the ground. She
puts a burner phone on the road and then drives off in the truck.
Later, Reese and Finch watch the surveillance footage from the camera at the hijacking. Finch
admits that none of the 38 Numbers have the skills involved, and Reese points out that the
hijacker was a woman. They both realize that it sounds a lot like Sam. Sam comes in and they
ask her if she was responsible. Sam tells them that she borrowed a few guns from Reese and
they realize that it’s Carter. Finch realizes that she’s starting a gang war and Reese tells them to
get eyes on all 38 Numbers before one of them goes after Carter.
Alonzo is in his office when he receives a call from Yogorov. The mobster explains that he got
Alonzo’s number on the burner phone that the hijacker dropped. He accuses Alonzo of ripping
him off, unaware that Carter is listening in. Alonzo tells Yogorov to start thinking straight, but
the mobster opens the file Elias gave him and tells Alonzo that he has information on all of
Alonzo’s HR members. If Alonzo doesn’t return the stolen goods then he’ll kill them.
Reese breaks into Carter’s apartment and finds the board she had with the HR members.
Alonzo is at the top of the chart, and he contacts Finch. They realize that Alonzo is the one
responsible for Cal’s death. Meanwhile, Carter calls Reese on a transmitter that she left on her
dresser. Reese says that they know what Alonzo did to Cal and tells her that revenge isn’t the
answer. Carter asks him to trust her to do what needed to be done and hangs up. She then goes
