wonders where Root is. Finch goes back to the cage and finds Root there with Bear. He asks why
she came back and Root says that they have a larger fight ahead of them, and they should be
together when it begins. Finch thanks her and closes the cage door.
The next night at the hospital, Simmons is under heavy guard. Despite that, he finds Elias
in his room. Simmons wonders why Elias is there and the crime lord says that there is a debt.
He explains that the two of them are something older and they can do the things that civilized
people can’t do. Carter was civilized until the end, and refuses to let Elias kill Simmons. Now
Elias considers it his responsibility to dispose of Simmons. When Simmons asks if he can do it,
Elias tells him that his friend is going to do it and he’ll watch. Scarface steps out and strangles
