Creating Stereotype Package in Enterprise<br />

Architect<br />

This section describes the step to create the stereotype package that can be used in<br />

Enterprise Architect version 5.00.767.<br />

Creating Stereotypes<br />

Note: You do not need to carry out<br />

steps 1 – 8 because they have been<br />

per<strong>for</strong>med and the results are<br />

contained in the XML file<br />

1 Drag Profile icon from the Toolbox menu<br />

onto a diagram to create a profile package<br />

I specified UML2.0 in Workspace<br />

Perspective<br />

called StereotypePackage.<br />

2 Open StereotypePackage<br />

3 Drag Stereotype from the Toolbox menu to<br />

create stereotype class called EA<br />

All default values are used except<br />

changing the class name to EA<br />

4 Highlight EA and press F9 to create Attributes created are Version and<br />

attributes<br />

5 Drag Metaclass from Toolbox onto the<br />

Profile diagram and choose types from the<br />

dialogue.<br />

6 Use the Extension to point from EA to the<br />

Metaclasses<br />

7 Save the project<br />

8 From the Project View, right-click on<br />

StereotypePackage, do Save<br />

Package as UML profile<br />

ElementID<br />

Chosen types are class, objects,<br />

package etc.<br />
