for the study of the campaign that inspired the poem O Uruguay, by José Basílio da Gama.<br />
Barreto differs from Borba in his opinion of this work, saying that it is full of errors, that<br />
it tends to glorify the chief of the expedition at the expense of objectivity, and that its<br />
only merit is literary or as an historical artifact.<br />
