First and only edition in Portuguese of this translation of Riflessioni di un Portoghese
sopra il Memoriale presentato da’ pp. gesuiti alla Santita di PP. Clemente XIII felicemente regnante,
attributed to Urbano Tosetti and published in Lisbon (i.e, Paris?), 1758. It contains the
memorial presented to the Pope by the general of the Jesuits, dated 31 July 1758, annotated
heavily and vituperatively, with frequent references to Jesuit activities—particularly
commercial activities—in China, Japan and in the Americas.
