First and only edition in Portuguese of this translation of Riflessioni di un Portoghese<br />

sopra il Memoriale presentato da’ pp. gesuiti alla Santita di PP. Clemente XIII felicemente regnante,<br />

attributed to Urbano Tosetti and published in Lisbon (i.e, Paris?), 1758. It contains the<br />

memorial presented to the Pope by the general of the Jesuits, dated 31 July 1758, annotated<br />

heavily and vituperatively, with frequent references to Jesuit activities—particularly<br />

commercial activities—in China, Japan and in the Americas.<br />
