TOURISM AND WONDERS OF WYNYARD EXHIBITION CENTRE
The permanent display depicting the Tommeginer people has been installed at
the Exhibition Centre. This permanent display has been placed in the WOW
to promote the community’s indigenous history to visitors and encourage them
to visit Freestone Cove and the fish traps.
Further information has been received from Stephen Hite from Burnie Sports
and Events regarding incorporating a tour of the WOW into the itinerary for
the cruise ship market. Mr. Hite advised that one of the on-shore operators is
interested in including the WOW on this seasons itinerary. Heritage Tours
will be making contact to organise the inclusion of the WOW for upcoming
cruise ship visits.
