Operational Aims 2008/2009
Immunisations
The Public Health Act 1997 requires that Councils offer immunisations against
a number of diseases. The following table will provide Council with details of
the rate of immunisations provided through Council clinics. A monthly clinic
is held at Wynyard, excepting December, with bi-monthly clinics at Waratah.

Included in the figures given above, Council supplied 45 staff members with
either the first or second dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine.

Operational Aims 2008/2009
Determine acceptable and achievable levels of environmental and public health
by ongoing monitoring, inspection, education and, where necessary by
applying corrective measures by mutual consent or application of legislation.
Ensure safe standards of food offered for sale are maintained.
