The knowledge acquired from an overseas study of lead<strong>in</strong>g edge technology <strong>in</strong> <strong>architectural</strong><br />
<strong>glass</strong> practices will be of benefit to all those <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> the related build<strong>in</strong>g trades.<br />
Architects require <strong>in</strong>formation on new technology to specify <strong>in</strong> their build<strong>in</strong>g designs. They<br />
also need to be confident that the work can be carried out professionally with no detriment<br />
to the strength, aesthetics and longevity of their build<strong>in</strong>gs.<br />
Glass Designers need to be aware of the latest <strong>techniques</strong> and <strong>in</strong>novations to allow them<br />
to design with a <strong>contemporary</strong> palette. Inspiration from overseas work will lead to new<br />
solutions.<br />
Tradespeople need the appropriate new skills to fabricate the work. Workshop practices<br />
will change to accommodate the new technology.<br />
Glaziers will benefit from <strong>in</strong>formation on <strong>in</strong>stallation <strong>techniques</strong> for <strong>in</strong>tegrated art works.<br />
