12.2 SAARC-Activities<br />
• SAARC Disaster Management Centre (SDMC)<br />
has been established at National Institute of<br />
Disaster Management (NIDM), New Delhi,<br />
under <strong>Ministry</strong> of Home Affairs. IMD has close<br />
cooperation with the centre. IMD organised a<br />
workshop on “Use of Satellite Products in day<br />
to day Weather Forecasting Techniques” from<br />
1 st to 14 st March, 2008.<br />

(IPC) of SAARC, India has offered installation<br />
of observing centres.<br />
