'Connor Cailean' Originator Robert McPhail (United Kingdom) Parentage P. loefgrenii ‘Corupa’ (♀) × P.caerulea (♂) Description Stem round, dark red on maturity; flowers 9-10cm in diameter, reflexing, upright; petals and sepals violet/blue; corona filaments deep purple at base, white banded to blue at apex; leaves 3-5 lobed, dark green with reddish pigmentation, 10cm long x 12 cm wide; petiole 8cm with 3 petiole glands; peduncle 13cm; bracts 1.5cm x 1cm. Appears to be self-fertile forming fruits. Minimum temperature 0C. Produced in 2005 and named after Connor McPhail, the godson of the breeder.

'La Lucchese' Originator Maurizio Vecchia (Italy) Parentage P. ‘Fata Confetto’ (♀) × P. kermesina (♂) Description Stem round; flowers 10cm in diameter, non-fragrant; petals and sepals purple; corona filaments violet/lavender bands at base to white and crinkled at apex; leaves 3-lobed, margins denticulate, 11cm long x 13cm wide; petiole 6cm with 2 central petiole glands; peduncle 8cm; bracts 1cm long, setaceous and deciduous. Flowering period June to October. Minimum temperature ~ 2C. Named after the city of Lucca and Murabilia 2008. The female parent is the hybrid {(P. incarnata × P. tucumanensis) × P. incarnata ?}.
