Description Vine woody, medium sized; flowers 7cm in diameter, pendant;<br />
petals and sepals pink/white on adaxial surface; corona<br />
filaments in 5 series, white; peduncle 3.5cm; leaves 3-lobed, up<br />
to 13cm long x 16 cm wide, sub-coriaceous and undulate;<br />
petiole up to 6cm with 1 pair of glands up to 3 mm long closer<br />
to leaf base; stipules 4cm x 2cm wide, semi-ovate; bracts pale<br />
pink 1cm x 1cm, persistent; androgynophore has ‘trochlea-like’<br />
structure between ovary and anther filaments with an additional,<br />
symmetrical and regular set of short filaments; some pollen on<br />
anthers; appears to be fertile as a seed parent; fruit mostly<br />
pentagonal in cross-section, dark green, lighter green when ripe;<br />
arils sweet-tasting, aromatic and citrus-scented. Minimum<br />
temperature at least -3C.
